Thinking....
“Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them…Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.

It's
wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your
life.
Summing
it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating
on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not
the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.
Put
into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do
that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most
excellent harmonies."

Phillipians 4:5-9 from The Message
This passage has been heavy on my mind for several days. It holds one of the lists we are given in
scripture that is worth noting.
- True
- Honest
- Just
- Pure
- Lovely
- Good report
- Admirable
- Praiseworthy
That’s some good stuff.
But it is so much easier to dwell on the negatives. Certainly, our enemy will influence us to do
so, to criticize, tear down, accuse. I
surely don’t want people letting him influence them to be of that mindset
toward me. But so often, I confess that
I am influenced to go there myself. God help
and forgive. Even more, restore what may have been damaged by my error.
There is so much wrong, everywhere we look we can easily find wrong! Oh Lord God, help us to have eyes to see good things, and to be the instruments in Your Mighty Hand to build up, to encourage, to bring unity, and to be people who love. Especially when it is difficult to love. Pour into us extra measures of love and grace and make us as free to give as we are to receive.
